This saree is made from Bamboo cotton which provides a breathable fabric that is soft with a matte texture. The off-white cream base gives a neutral backdrop to the lively red and yellow woven details scattered throughout.
Design & Style
The body of the saree is adorned with repeating small red teardrop motifs. Thick horizontal bands of woven geometric patterns adorn the pallu. They are red diamonds with yellow centers. Between the geometric rows are larger floral illustrations of red flowers and green leaves. The borders are finished with a thick red stripe with yellow diamond details. The most prominent feature of the shawl is the thick, hand-knotted red yarn tassels along the pallu edge, which give the shawl visible texture and weight.
